154th Kingston Agricultural Show Wrap Up

Show #154! We had a great turnout of children and adults despite some drizzle for our annual two-day show. There were many highlights:
We ran a sheep show for the first time since anyone can remember. It was declared a great success!
Ballarat Poultry Society turned up in force and ‘pat-a-chook’ was highly popular
The Working Yard Dog trials had over 100 dogs entered with Australian champion dogs in action
Snakes Alive was a new, well-received addition
Children's competition and the rural schools challenge were well supported.
The Morrish Pavilion saved the day when a few showers provided a challenge
Our first produce basket competition kicked off.
The dog high jump was well supported with 40 spectators. Winners are eligible to compete in the 2024 State Championship at Ballarat.
Only one gumboot ended up on the roof of the Morrish Pavilion
Kingston Rural Fire Brigade supported us as always - the kids ran to join in when the fire house was brought out!
Dairy goats supported by the Dairy Goats Society enjoyed their day with good shelter.
We enjoyed the support of many generous sponsors. They are listed here.
Take a look at some of the many photographs kindly provided by our volunteer photographers in our show gallery. You’ll find links to their galleries there also.
