Schools at the Kingston Show

The Kingston Agricultural Show offers plenty of ways for local children to get involved - from art, craft and cooking competitions to the Rural Schools Challenge and our Schools Toolkit brings together everything teachers and families need to participate in the 2026 Show.

Rural Schools Challenge

Grades 3 to 6 | Teams of five
A fun, hands on team challenge combining problem-solving, teamwork & practical agricultural activities.
Perpetual trophy and ribbons to be won

Colouring-in Competition

Three age groups
Young artists can get creative with this year’s Your Local Show colouring sheet with a winner selected from each of the three age groups.
3 family passes up for grabs

Children’s Competitions

Preschool to Grade 6
Classes include painting, drawing, photography and decorated boots. Junior cooks can enter decorated muffins, teddy bear biscuits and more.
Free entries | $100 Art & Craft school prize

Friday 27 Nov
Colouring-in competition entries due

Tuesday 1 Dec
Art & Craft entries due by 5pm at the Morrish Pavilion

Saturday 5 Dec - Show Day!
Cooking entries due by 8.30am - deliver to the Morrish Pavilion
Cardboard Box Tractor entries due by 10.30am
Rural Schools Challenge at 2pm
Collect exhibits after 4pm
