Arena Renovation Complete (Almost)

In May the Kingston Showground arena received a significant upgrade thanks to the generous support of AGF Seeds and the efforts of our volunteers who contributed their time, equipment and expertise to make this project possible.

The project included sowing of 150 kg of seed comprised of opera turf ryegrass, creeping fescue and Kentucky bluegrass, fertilising and spreading approximately 75 m³ of soil. This work will help provide a strong, more durable surface for the many events and activities held at the Showgrounds throughout the year.

As the new surface continues to establish, our next step is a volunteer stone-picking working bee on Sunday June 21 from 10 am. Can you help us please? It won’t be hard work. We’ll emu parade the grounds to capture the pebbles that went out with the soil. SMS or call 0419527734 if you can assist for a couple of hours.
