Working Dog Training @ Kingston
With the support of Hepburn Shire, 11 working dogs and 1 11-week old worker-to-be with handlers and spectators spent a fabulous day at Kingston Showgrounds in the expert hands of Gary White, internationally known working dog trainer. A quick session of theory in the clubrooms then everyone honed their skills and tried new ideas. It was just as educational for spectators also.
Everyone engaged with one another, shared stories, experiences and had plenty of laughs. Feedback from participants was overwhelmingly positive.
Yes! the 11-week old clearly showed promise, working the sheep from side to side gracefully accepting cheers from us all. Every dog, handler and spectator walked away with improvements and ideas for the future.
Thanks to all involved, especially the Ag Society team who prepared the setup and delivered great meals and hospitality.
